What is Youth Internship Program? 

Youth Internship program is an initiative launched which concerned students and young graduates who are called to apply for an internship or a professional experience depending on their status. 


How can the youth apply?

They should load their applications on the platform https://careers.mtn.cm latest June 13th, 2019.

 

What happens after submitting my application?

Candidates whose profile matches requirements will be selected. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted by e-mail and will have 72h (3 business days) to confirm. Then they will be retained for the next step in the process: the selection interview.

An oral interview will be organized with each of the pre-selected candidates (Visio conference or Skype), in order to evaluate their oral expression, their professional qualities and their technical skills in relation to the internship.

Successful candidates will be personally contacted and final list will be published on our web site.

 

How long will last the program?

The program is 3 months, from July 1st to September 30th, 2019 for the internship and 6 months from July 1st to December 31st, 2019 for the professional internship.

The academic and professional internships offered within the context of the MTN Youth Internship Program cover the following areas of activity:

  • Corporate Management and Administration
  • Audit and Management Control 
  • Communication and Marketing
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Litigations and Commercial Legal Services
  • IT and Network Infrastructure
  • Customer Relations Management
  • Human Resources
  • Telecommunications
  • Sales and Distribution.


What are the criteria for beneficiaries of the academic internships?

The criteria are:

  • Be of Cameroonian nationality
  • Be enrolled in a Cameroonian university institution
  • Be available during the entire duration of the internship (1 July -30 September 2019)
  • Be at least 18 years, and at most 35 years old on 1 July 2019
  • Have a good command of one of the two official languages being English / French
  • Be available during the entire duration of the internship (1 July – 30 September 2019)
  • Be able to execute instructions with humility, in the spirit of learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure


What are the criteria for beneficiaries of the professional internships

The criteria are:

  • Be of Cameroonian nationality
  • Be registered as a Job Seeker in the registers of the National Employment Fund (NEF)
  • Be at least 18 years, and at most 35 years old on 1 July 2019
  • Have a good command of one of the two official languages being English / French
  • Be available during the entire duration of the internship (1 July – 31 December 2019)
  • Be able to execute instructions with humility, in the spirit of learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure

Will the students receive an allowance?

An internship allowance will be allocated to each intern monthly.
